So, I must admit I'm quite new to the world of "blogging".
I haven't yet figured out how to use it. :(
but, regardless, something I read gave me inspiration to find this for you.

And she was lying in the grass
And she could hear the highway breathing
And she could see a nearby factory
She's making sure she is not dreaming
See the lights of a neighbor's house
Now she's starting to rise
Take a minute to concentrate
And she opens up her eyes

The world was moving and she was right there with it (and she was)
The world was moving she was floating above it (and she was) and she was

And she was drifting through the backyard
And she was taking off her dress
And she was moving very slowly
Rising up above the earth
Moving into the universe
Drifting this way and that
Not touching ground at all
Up above the yard

..it has no relevance whatsoever to the article upon which I am commenting--but I could not figure out anywhere else to put it.

p.s- I am anxious to begin reading "borrowed light", and I'd love to chat with the author while doing so.

Huh? OK, Chica, over my head this time. Not the first, nor the last.

Sorry, Riannan. Guess you'll just have to enjoy the pretty colors.

Cowardly Lion, the lyrics you quote have MUCH to do with the post...since Brian Eno produced so much of the Talking Heads.

Now the question is, did he produce this gorgeous little song ("And She Was") which I think was on the late 80s album Little Creatures? My next guess would be True Stories, but that just doesn't sit right.

I will Google and return soon with an answer. Or mayhap you'll beat me to it.

It is kind of you to support small university presses like SMU and even smaller university-educated authors like me. We thank you.

I'll be back after a few days of regularly scheduled mid-term exams.

And Little Creatures it is!

"and she was" ...was track # 1 on thier album Little Creatures.
Always go with your first instinct.

As far as I can tell, Eno did not produce the song.
My googling skills kept leading me to the acctress Benda Song??

Maybe you'll have better luck.
avoir.
